Free luggage allowances and regulations;
Passengers are obliged to ensure they do not carry luggage and baggage that does
not belong to them. This is for security reasons. Please label your luggage
and baggage with your first name, surname, address and telephone number.
Do not register your luggage under anyone else’s name or you will not be compensated
in the event of damage or loss. Try not to leave tags or labels from previous
flights on your luggage and baggage.
The baggage allowance in weight terms for flights to Turkey is 20 kg and to Europe
25kg. Students and soldiers can carry 25kg free. Infants between the ages of
zero and two have no free baggage allowance.
Luggage limitations
No baggage item of more than 32KG will be carried. One item of hand luggage
per person can be taken on board, and such items must not be larger than56X45x25cm,
and must not exceed 8kg.
The airline is not responsible for the following restricted items detailed
below;
These are: money; valuable personal items such as jewellery; commercial samples;
valuable documents; electronic goods; food; unstable fluids; fluids in fragile
containers; gas; dangerous substances.
Bear in mind that containers such as
sacks, plastic bags, tin boxes and bottles are not classified as luggage and
cannot be permitted in the hold or in the cabin of the aircraft.
Excess Baggage:
If you exceed the luggage weight allowance, you will have to pay extra.
The
charges for excess baggage on flights between Cyprus and Turkey are as follows:
standard passenger excess baggage charge – 2 Euros per
kg; student and soldier,
and soldier’s family, excess baggage – 1 Euro per kg.
The charge for excess baggage on flights between the UK and Cyprus/Turkey
is 6 Euros per kg.
The charge for excess baggage on flights between the Cyprus/Turkey and UK
is 6 GBP per kg.
Hand luggage in the cabin
Such items as sharp implements, pocket knives, other kinds of knife, nail clippers,
lighters, explosives and firearms are both dangerous and forbidden, and you
should not carry them.
Items which are permitted in the cabin:
- A coat or shawl or blanket.
- A small woman’s handbag or shoulder bag or small backpack.
- An umbrella or a walking stick.
- A small camera and/or binoculars.
- Books sufficient for the journey’s reading matter.
- Enough baby food for the journey.
Wheelchairs do not attract extra charges, but will be added to controlled hold baggage. They cannot be kept in the cabin. All wheelchairs, especially motorized ones, will be treated with all due care.
