Electronic ticketing is a way of arranging all the reservation and flight
details you require electronically rather than on paper. Electronic ticketing
performs the same tasks as traditional ticketing but faster, more securely
and in a more practical way. All details are kept within the computer system,
and therefore all possible changes in reservations, refunds, check in details
etc. can be undertaken electronically based on the information submitted during
registration.
Why electronic ticketing?
There are three important reasons for choosing electronic ticketing:
- It is safe, as it cannot be stolen, lost or forgotten.
- It is practical because it does not require a ticket machine in the manner of traditional ticketing. It is unnecessary to submit a ticket at check in, or when you request any changes to your flight plans.
- It is fast. Your route from reservation to flight is swift and problem free.
How to make a reservation
The procedure for electronic ticketing is different from that with traditional
ticketing.
How does electronic ticketing work?
During your reservation procedure you are given a travel document which confirms
your reservation, payment and flight details and displays an electronic ticket
number. If you do not receive this when purchasing your flights, you can receive
it at a later date. This document serves as a receipt.
