LOCATION:

CTA’s main technical services assets are based at Ercan Airport. 

Authorisation


CTA is authorised by the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority along with the JAR-145 Flight Service Authority.  The area of CRS authority is limited by the needs determined by MOE.  The authority number of CTA at the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority is TR-00007.

Area of technical operation –

CTA’s designated operational area


CTA organises its technical operations in accordance with CMP maintenance of aircraft programmes such as are approved by the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority.

Main base maintenance operations (Ercan Airport)


CTA applies the periodic maintenance that falls within its remit at Ercan Airport.  This is:

  • Transit maintenance
  • Daily maintenance
  • Problem fixing
  • Maintenance/servicing

Maintenance and service with legally binding agreements with companies;

CTA can make agreements with other JAR-145 authorised companies in matters of supply and technical services.    Any agreements entered into are in accordance with TGL 15 requirements and should be subjected to JAR-OPS, MI 890 (a) 2,3,5,6 regulations, and must be approved by the Turkish Republic SHGM.
These legally binding agreements should be approved by JAA/TC-SHGM, and should be approved by FAA, JAA/TC-SHGM.  The companies related with CTA in this respect are: Turkish Airlines for A310-200 and Boeing 737-800, and MNG and FLS for A321-211. 
CTA enters into agreements with service assets with JAR-145 authority in relation to parts servicing.

Required qualities of personnel to be employed:      

                                                       
In short, personnel to be employed by CTA in technical capacities should be graduates of technical university departments at BSc or MSc level (studies in the fields of aviation, electronics and mechanical engineering).  Those to be employed as technicians should be graduates of Civil Aviation Technical Colleges, and should hold a valid technical licence issued by TC-SHGM.  Technical assistants should be graduates of high school or college.
